Why GAMED?

Production Digitalization That Fits Your Production

Our Strengths

Three Reasons to Choose GAMED

An MES does not have to start with a big bang – and not every production environment needs the same solution. GAMED combines modular standard software, an integrated MES platform and decades of experience in industrial production environments. The result is a solution that delivers value quickly and can evolve as your requirements grow.

  • Digitize Modularly Instead of All at Once

Not every function needs to be implemented from the start. With GAMED, you can begin with the areas that provide the greatest immediate value and then expand your MES step by step.

This allows processes, users and IT to evolve together with the solution. Additional functions are added where they are actually needed – without having to transform the entire organization at the beginning of the project.

  • One Integrated MES Instead of Multiple Stand-Alone Solutions

Planning, production and machine data acquisition, quality, tracking, maintenance and analytics do not have to be separate systems.

GAMED brings different production digitalization tasks together on a common platform. This reduces interfaces and redundant data storage while creating a shared information base for production.

  • As Simple as Possible – as Complex as Necessary

The vast majority of our projects are implemented using standardized GAMED software components. In more than 90% of our projects, these components are configured specifically for the customer – without integrating individual custom solutions into the standard software.

New requirements are incorporated into our standard products when they also provide value for other customers. Where individual functions are required, we develop targeted software components to meet those specific needs.

You Know You Want to Digitize – but Not Yet Where to Start?

Then we do not start with a product. We start with your production. Our experts help you identify potential, structure your requirements and define a practical starting point for production digitalization.

What Our Customers Say?

Customer Opinions

“

“By digitalising our production processes with GAMED, we were able to increase both system performance and system availability by over 10%.”

“Quality Assistant ensures that all planned checks are carried out reliably. The 4-eyes principle, which is often necessary, can be optimised in this way or, in certain cases, can be omitted due to direct validation.”

A Deployment Model That Fits Your Production

Not every production environment requires the same IT architecture. GAMED can be operated within your own infrastructure, in private or public cloud environments or in hybrid architectures.

Requirements for integration, data sovereignty, availability, release timing and customer-specific processes vary considerably, especially for production-critical systems. That is why we deliberately do not rely on a mandatory multi-tenant SaaS model. Instead, we work with you to select the architecture that best fits your production environment and IT strategy.

Go Live Quickly

An MES does not need to be fully implemented before it starts delivering value. Standardized software components and proven implementation methods make it possible to initially bring the functions and processes into productive operation that are truly required for stable day-to-day use.

For this reason, we do not try to cover every conceivable special case from the very beginning of a project. Additional requirements can be added step by step afterward – without limiting the solution’s long-term scalability.

  • Faster go-live
  • Lower implementation effort
  • Earlier measurable value
  • Long-term scalability

Our Principle: As Complex as Necessary. As Simple as Possible

Our experience in industrial production environments helps us distinguish between necessary and unnecessary complexity.

Not every theoretically possible function makes a system better in everyday operation. That is why we focus on lean processes, clear structures and pragmatic solutions. Additional complexity is introduced only where it delivers tangible value.

Before starting a project, we work together to determine whether the product, architecture, deployment model, project capacity and support requirements are truly a good fit. An MES project should begin on a realistic technical and organizational foundation – with clear expectations on both sides.

FAQ / Q&A

Frequently Asked Questions before Choosing an MES

Answers to important questions about scalability, deployment, integration, support and project implementation.

  • How Scalable Is GAMED for Larger-Scale and International Rollouts?

GAMED has been developing production software since 1985 and implements solutions both in individual plants and across international production networks.
Projects are managed by interdisciplinary teams, with knowledge deliberately distributed across multiple people so that solutions do not depend on individual key personnel. Parallel implementations and international rollouts across multiple locations are also part of our project experience.
We plan project capacity realistically and communicate transparently when a project can be started effectively with the required experienced resources.

  • How Much Standard Software Is Used in a GAMED Project?

The vast majority of our projects are implemented entirely using standardized GAMED software components. In more than 90% of our projects, these components are configured specifically for the customer. Individual software components are used selectively where they are genuinely required from a functional perspective.

  • How Independently Can Customers Administer Their GAMED System?

Our goal is to enable trained key users to perform typical changes and configurations independently. These include, for example, machines and workstations, master data, users, analyses and inspection definitions. After implementation and training, many customers operate their systems largely independently.

  • Which Deployment Models Does GAMED Support?

GAMED can be operated within customer-owned IT infrastructures, in private or public cloud environments and in hybrid architectures. The technical architecture is based on your production environment, IT strategy and requirements regarding integration, data sovereignty, availability and scalability.

  • How Does GAMED Integrate into Existing IT and OT Environments?

Our platform supports common integration and infrastructure standards such as REST interfaces, OPC UA, Active Directory or Entra ID as well as integration with SAP S/4HANA. High-availability architectures, automated deployments and controlled version updates across multiple locations are also possible.

  • How Does GAMED Organize Support and Operational Responsibilities?

Our goal is to enable customers’ own IT teams to handle many operational tasks independently. To achieve this, we train local IT teams and key users for typical first- and second-level support tasks. For more advanced technical issues, GAMED provides vendor-level support.
Additional on-call and support models can be agreed upon for critical operating phases and higher availability requirements.

  • How Does GAMED Ensure Information Security?

Information security is an integral part of our development process. Production code is reviewed, software dependencies are automatically checked for known vulnerabilities and defined processes are in place to assess, prioritize and resolve security findings.
Our internal security processes and documentation are aligned with established information security standards.

  • How Does GAMED Combine Decades of Experience with Modern Technology?

GAMED has been developing software for industrial production environments since 1985. Proven domain logic and experience from real-world production processes continuously flow into new and enhanced software components and are combined with modern technologies and current development platforms.

  • How Transparent Are Project and Operating Costs?

Our software components have defined license costs and maintenance agreements. Project-specific services such as implementation, integration and training are calculated separately. If requirements change during the project, we coordinate any additional effort with the customer at an early stage.
